I opened the week modifying and painting a second Action Fleet Podracer Hanger Bay.  This one I got in like-new condition, so it included the second lift arm that was missing with the first one I did.

Over the weekend I picked up two Disney spacecraft at the swap meet for a dollar each.  I’ve never seen them before, but they look very compatible with the Action Fleet Star Wars spacecraft that make up the majority of the Star Wars space fighters and bombers I am using.  They were both in like-new condition so all they required was new paint jobs.

I had some parts left over from a broken Action Fleet Yavin Rebel Base playset and decided to turn those pieces into stand-alone overhead pieces of repair equipment.  I also had a PEZ plastic container left over from removing the toy on top for my granddaughter.  I came close to throwing it away but decided to turn it into a piece for my Trench Crusade battlefield… just to add a smile to that very dark collection.

The big project of the week was building four ARC-170 transformers.  I’m not good at building transformers so this was a lot of work.  Once I had them together, I decided on a paint scheme and did a lot of masking before the paint went on.

The last project of the week was repairing and painting a Warhammer Siege Tower I got a week ago at the swap meet.  The bridging element had been broken but I was able to repair that… now it’s permanently in the down position but that’s fine with me.  The paint job was a relatively simple process.

A week ago, I purchased the Action Fleet Podracer Hanger Bay playset at the swap meet.  It was missing some parts, so I got it for $10.  I did some little modifications and gave it a new paint job.  I think it will serve well as a repair shop for my Star Wars collection.

With the hanger bay done, I turned my attention to some marketplace terrain pieces and a couple of random figures, all of which will be part of my Star Wars collection.

I also had some drones that needed to be based and painted.  One appears to be an assassin drone.  Six others I haven’t been able to identify, but I like them.

I wrapped up the week painting two Imperial TX-225 Occupier Tanks.  Since they look the same, I’m posting a picture of one of them.

The insanity continues.  For the last month (maybe month and a half… not sure), I have been laser focused on painting Star Wars figures.   This project began in earnest about two and a half years ago with a big detour (several months) in the middle, but now I am beginning to see that this tunnel actually has a light at its end.   Still a good deal of work to do… mostly vehicles, but even the vehicle part of the project is far closer to the end than the beginning.

Forgive the inconsistent lighting for these pictures and those in previous postings.  I use natural light and even in California the sun doesn’t always work with you to provide consistent lighting even from picture to picture.

This was another week of painting Star Wars’ figures.
