This week, I continued painting Heroclix plus a couple Horrorclix and pieces from board games like Clue.

A few weeks ago at the swap meet I found a De Don Bouton from 1894 by Rio. It has a great look and was only $5. It was missing the passenger awning and one of what appear to be leaf springs. Fortunately last week I found an awning that would work with it (with a little modification) and I added the missing leaf spring using Evergreen plastic.
The rest of my workbench week was devoted to painting Heroclix figures

My workbench week continued its focus on painting Heroclix figures. I find these figures very compatible with 28mm figures, and because I generally get them for a dollar or less they are an outstanding way to fill my city streets with “normal” citizens for a small price.
Several weeks ago, I got a great deal on a “lot” sale of some CMON The World of Smog figures. One of the figures in that lot was Phileas Fogg, and while I already had that figure, the price on the lot was so good that a duplication didn’t bother me. I decided to take the duplicate Fogg miniature apart and use the pieces in other ways. The rear of the figure is a clock which I attached to a Pegasus building. The tentacles I used attacking another figure. Those were easy decisions, but the Phileas Fogg figure was more complex because it is not a complete figure… part of its back, its butt, and its left leg are not part of the casting so he had to be coming out of something. While it is probably a little crazy, I decided to have him coming through a stained-glass window that came with a Heroclix Batman figure.
With the Phileas Fogg repurposing done, I turned my attention back to painting and head-swapping Heroclix, and that is where the week ended.

This workbench week was completely devoted to painting Heroclix. The only modification I did was to replace the head of the Oracle with the head of Tabitha Smith… I like bubble gum.
