Once again I’m way behind in posting, but life gets busy and painting and repurposing is more fun than photographing. This workbench week began with painting some Warhammer 40K Galvanic Servohaulers. I followed that up with completing and painting the Star Wars’ pirate land skimmer that I built using a modified Batman boat and the roll cage from a broken toy I found at the swap meet.
I also completed the repainting of my Clone warriors.

Most of my workbench time this week was spent digging through, clearing up, and organizing my workbench… that took days. I attribute the mess that my workbench usually is in to the fact that my bench is in the garage (thus hidden), and I like working fast and consequently I don’t take time to put things (paints, hobby blades, scraps of plastic, the remains of figures that have been cut up to use in the modification of other figures, parts of vehicles used to repurpose other vehicles) in their proper places. Even when I do tidy up, I do a modest job… just enough to keep me going. Consequently, the picture posted here shows a workbench that has not looked this good in years.
With the workbench returned to a workable state, my attention goes back to the Star Wars pirate vehicle that I am creating from a Batboat, a broken dune buggy’s roll cage, side pipes from the Pegasus Chemical Plant construction kit, and some Evergreen plastic.
While the pirate vehicle still needs painting, I returned to repainting another group of Clone warriors.

Another very late posting… sorry. I returned to the workbench this week repainting Wizards of the Coast Clones and one modified 3d-printed Tusten shaman.
Closed out the week working on what will be a Star Wars’ pirate land cruiser made from a Batman vehicle I got at Savers thrift shop ($2.50) and the roll cage of another toy I got at the swap meet for $1. Still a lot of work to do, but the concept is coming together.

I spent this workbench week repainting Star Wars Clones by Wizards of the Coast. When I first painted them, I did as little as possible since they came pre-painted, but I was never satisfied with them or the WOTC Stormtroopers so I decided to repaint all of them. This week the work began.
