This was a very busy workbench week and deserves a lengthy write-up, but I injured my right hand on Wednesday and find typing difficult… typing, not painting.
I began the week repurposing two McFarland toys… cryogenic beds. When I saw them at the swap meet, they looked like sci fi transports for civilians that would be perfect for my Star Wars’ collection.
Next on the agenda were seven Micro Galaxy Squadron Imperial Troop Transports… easy paint jobs.
A week ago, I hit the motherload of WOTC Star Wars figures (a little over 150 of them) for $5. My collection is already large, so I’ll be selling most of them, but there are about 20 I will be keeping and most of those got painted this week.
Another recent swap meet find was a damaged TIE command ship for $3. I realized that if I swapped side shields from one side to the other I would have damage in very different places.
I ended the week testing some AK Water Gel on a piece of Trench Crusade terrain. It’s to apply and dry with the look of water.
